1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to NextMoveCV (“we”, “our”, or “the Platform”), an AI-powered CV builder and cover letter generation service accessible at https://nextmovecv.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all features, tools, content, and services offered on this website.

By registering an account, browsing the platform, building a CV, downloading any document, or otherwise interacting with the website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including visitors, registered free users.


2. Description of Services

NextMoveCV provides a web-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform enabling users to:

  • Create, build, and edit professional CVs using 26 or more pre-designed, job-ready templates.
  • Preview their CV in real-time as they make changes, using a live dual-view workspace.
  • Generate an AI-powered ‘About Me’ professional summary from key details they provide.
  • Generate an AI-powered cover letter tailored to a target role and background.
  • Upload a profile photo, add education history, work experience, skills with proficiency ratings, languages, hobbies, and references.
  • Add, reorder, and stylise social media links using drag-and-drop functionality.
  • Generate a personal professional barcode automatically linked to their profile.
  • Create or upload a digital signature for use in CV and cover letter footers.
  • Download their finished CV as a professionally formatted, ATS-compatible PDF.
  • Manage multiple CVs and cover letters through an organised account dashboard.
  • The platform is powered in part by the WP CV Builder plugin and integrated AI APIs. Services may vary between the Free (Starter) plan and paid subscription tiers (Pro and Elite).


3. Account Registration & User Responsibilities

3.1 Registration Requirements

To access the CV Builder and related features, you must register a free account by providing a valid username, email address, and password. You confirm that all information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at the contact address provided in Section 19 if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account. NextMoveCV shall not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to safeguard your login details.

3.3 Eligibility

By registering, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age. Users under 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian. NextMoveCV reserves the right to terminate accounts found to be in violation of this requirement.

3.4 One Account Per User

Each individual user may maintain one primary account. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent plan limitations is a breach of these Terms and may result in the suspension of all associated accounts.

 

4. Free Plan & Subscription Plans

4.1 Free (Starter) Plan

NextMoveCV offers a permanently free Starter plan that includes:

  • Building one CV from any available template.
  • Access to 26+ professionally designed templates.
  • One use of the AI ‘About Me’ generator.
  • A single PDF download (with watermark on preview; watermark removed upon download).
  • Live browser preview and dashboard access.
  • The Starter plan is subject to the limitations described above and may be updated by NextMoveCV at any time, with reasonable notice provided to registered users.

4.2 Pro Plan

The Pro Plan is currently offered at no charge during NextMoveCV’s launch and development phase. Its standard pricing is $20.00 USD per month. The Pro Plan includes:

  • Access to all templates with no watermark on exports.
  • Unlimited CV downloads as clean, print-ready PDFs.
  • Unlimited AI ‘About Me’ generation and AI Cover Letter generation.
  • Barcode generation and full social media link customisation.
  • Full access to the Signature Maker tool.
  • Unlimited CV and cover letter versions saved in the dashboard.
  • Priority email support with a 24-hour response commitment.

4.3 Elite Plan

The Elite Plan is currently offered at no charge during NextMoveCV’s launch phase. Its standard pricing is $120.00 USD for a six-month term. The Elite Plan includes all features of the Pro Plan.

4.4 Transition to Paid Plans

NextMoveCV reserves the right to introduce billing for Pro and Elite plans at any time after the free promotional period ends. Registered users will be notified by email no fewer than 14 days before any charges are applied. Continued use of the platform after the transition date constitutes acceptance of the applicable pricing.

4.5 No Hidden Fees During Free Period

While all plans are offered at no cost during the current free launch period, no credit card or payment information is required. No charges will be applied without prior notice.

 

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 Nature of AI Output

NextMoveCV uses artificial intelligence to generate the ‘About Me’ summary and cover letter text based on information you provide. AI-generated content is produced programmatically and may not always reflect your exact intentions, career nuances, or factual accuracy.

5.2 User Responsibility

You are fully responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before submitting or sending it to employers, recruiters, or any third party. NextMoveCV does not guarantee that AI-generated content is factually correct, grammatically perfect, or appropriate for any specific job application context.

5.3 No Guarantee of Employment Outcome

The use of AI-generated summaries, cover letters, or any other features of NextMoveCV does not guarantee any particular employment outcome, interview invitation, or job offer. We make no representations about the effectiveness of any specific CV or cover letter generated on the platform.

5.4 Input Data

You agree not to input false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful information into any AI generation tool on the platform. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

 

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Platform Ownership

All software, design elements, templates, code, AI systems, branding, logos, written content, and other materials on NextMoveCV.com are the intellectual property of NextMoveCV or its licensors (including the WP CV Builder plugin provider), protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

The personal information, career history, text, photos, and signatures you input or upload to the platform remain your property. By uploading content, you grant NextMoveCV a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the services described in these Terms.

6.3 Template Use

CV templates are licensed for personal use only. You may not reproduce, redistribute, modify, or resell any template design outside of its intended use as a personal CV output.

6.4 Downloaded Documents

PDF documents you download are for your personal career use. You may share them with employers and recruiters. You may not use downloaded CVs for commercial redistribution or as design templates for other products.

 

7. User Data & Privacy

NextMoveCV collects and processes personal data you provide during registration and CV creation, including but not limited to your name, email address, date of birth, nationality, contact details, work history, education, profile photo, and uploaded signature.

This data is used exclusively to deliver and improve the CV building service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data processing is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

By using NextMoveCV, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address in Section 19.

 

8. Watermark, Download & Export Policy

Free (Starter) plan users may preview their CV with a visible watermark applied to the preview rendering. The watermark is removed upon download within the scope of the plan’s permitted download quota.

Pro and Elite plan subscribers receive clean, watermark-free PDF exports with no download restrictions.

NextMoveCV reserves the right to apply, modify, or remove watermark policies at its discretion. Any changes to watermark or download policies will be communicated to users prior to implementation.

 

9. Payments, Billing & Refunds

9.1 Current Free Period

As of the effective date of these Terms, all plans including Pro and Elite are available at no charge. No billing is currently active. This section takes full effect upon the activation of paid subscriptions.

9.2 Future Billing

When billing is activated, subscription fees will be charged on a recurring monthly (Pro) or semi-annual (Elite) basis, depending on the selected plan. You will be notified in advance and required to provide valid payment details.

9.3 Refund Policy

Currently, NextmoveCV is completely free. No refund policy applies because no payments are collected.

 

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not:

  • Use NextMoveCV for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
  • Create CVs containing false, fabricated, or plagiarised professional credentials.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any source code, AI model, or template design from the platform.
  • Scrape, crawl, or programmatically harvest content, templates, or user data from the platform.
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or any content that could damage the platform or other users’ data.
  • Impersonate another person or entity during registration or CV creation.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute access to the platform or its outputs.
  • Circumvent any payment, access restriction, watermark system, or download limitation.
  • Engage in any conduct that interferes with the proper functioning of the platform or its servers.
  • Violation of any prohibited conduct clause may result in the immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account (without refund in terms of Paid users, when Paid Subscription activated).

 

11. Third-Party Services & Plugins

NextMoveCV is built in part using the WP CV Builder SaaS plugin and integrates with third-party AI API services for content generation. These third-party providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies, which govern their respective services.

NextMoveCV is not responsible for the actions, policies, data practices, or service interruptions of any third-party provider. We do not endorse any specific third-party service and hold no liability for damages arising from the use of third-party integrations.

Social media links added to your CV are external and entirely under your control. NextMoveCV does not verify or endorse any linked external profiles or platforms.

 

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

NextMoveCV is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.
  • Warranties that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific application.
  • Warranties that use of the platform will result in any employment, interview, or job outcome.

 

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, NextMoveCV, its owners, operators, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of employment opportunities or job applications.
  • Loss of data or documents resulting from service interruptions.
  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
  • Unauthorised access to your account resulting from failure to protect your credentials.

 

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NextMoveCV and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the platform in violation of these Terms.
  • Content you submit, upload, or share through the platform.
  • Your breach of any applicable law or third-party right.

 

15. Service Availability & Platform Updates

NextMoveCV strives to maintain consistent platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical faults, hosting issues, or upgrades.

We continuously improve the platform by deploying updates to templates, AI capabilities, and performance features without prior user action. Changes are applied automatically and are intended to enhance your experience.

We reserve the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any feature or the platform itself at any time, with or without notice, provided that users with active paid subscriptions are given reasonable advance notice of material service reductions.

 

16. Termination

NextMoveCV reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at its sole discretion if:

  • You violate any clause of these Terms.
  • Your account is found to be involved in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • We determine that continued access poses a risk to the platform, other users, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. We may retain anonymised data as required by law but will delete personal data upon request in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support at the address in Section 19.

 

17. Changes to These Terms

NextMoveCV reserves the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email.

Your continued use of the platform after the posting of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should cease using the platform and may request account deletion.
